Turquoise arrows gleam
In the afternoon sun as
A bay horse grazes
Inspiration for the piece:
This pair of magnesite turquoise spikes caught my eye with a delicate robin’s egg pattern. The soft blue paired elegantly with a copper wire wrap and gold plated snow bead to sense of a flying arrow, caught in a single moment of its downward arc.
Where it’s been:
Rosebud River Ranch: It is a hot afternoon and a small group of bay horses are grazing in the background. The sun is filtered by some thin clouds, providing perfect lighting to capture the gleam of the polished copper.
