Inspiration for the piece:

The sight of tall-masted schooners will set any heart free. The cutter-rigged pilothouse sailboat of these earrings captures the imagination and immediately brings up dreams of voyages to distant tropical islands. The blue apatite beads capture a small nugget of the teal blue water of the open ocean.

Where it’s been:

Twin Falls State Park: The sandy beach and tall boulders transcend their size and appear to be towering cliffs above the rocky cove. Dusk is descending, and wavelets are lapping at the shore. The two sailboats have found a safe harbor for the night, ready to continue their journey the next day.
