Inspiration for the piece:

It is a cool summer evening. Rain is pouring outside, with large drops running down the window panes. My cat is staring wistfully, hoping for sunshine. I used an enamel pour in the wood frame and set it with a small rhinestone. The deep blue paired well with quartz, lapis lazuli, and turquoise.

Where it’s been:

Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest: After a day of rain, the tree branches were glistening with rain and dew drops. The earring were lightweight enough to balance on the thin twig without disturbing any of the shimmering drops of silver water.
