Inspiration for the piece:

My yard is filled with robins, which are joyously devouring the wild raspberries that I have been waiting for all spring. The wooden branch on which the robin perches is asymmetrical, and so I counterbalanced it with a gold leaf dangling from the branch.

Where it’s been:

Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest: A few raspberries remained on the bushes, and provided the perfect for these pair of robin earrings. The afternoon sun found a few gaps in the forest canopy to shine brightly on the gleaming amethyst stones.
